In addition to regular practices we also train Firefighters to NFPA standards, we regularly run NFPA 1001 Classes. NFPA 1001 is the Basic Firefighter course. The same qualification as taking a Basic Fire Fighter course at Lakeland College or a similar training school where you would study full time and pay over $10,000.00 in tuition. Legacy offers that same training in house at no cost to you. A number of our members have moved on to full time departments.

We also train in:

  • NFPA 1006 Vehicle Extrication and Heavy Vehicle Rescue training
  • NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus operations and Pumper Operations
  • NFPA 1051 Wildland Firefighter
  • NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations
